King Tut's Wah Wah Hut (March, 1999)

After getting
hold of an early promo of the album, twenty twenty sound, I offed
to King Tut's yet again champin' at the proverbial bit, when
no-one else in Glasgow seemed to give a toss.
Actually there were a few punters there but they then turned out
to be the two local supports and their mates. Otherwise it was
pretty quiet and I had no problem in getting a good few pictures.
The band came on casually and blasted into a whirlwind of sound.
It was absolutely astonishing. Everything they did, they seem to
do individually but it all seemed to gel into a wall of
cinemascopic brain washing.
While those who bothered to remain chatted away casually glancing
to the stage, the boys ripped the roof off and had me gazing in
awe.
If you get the chance, the opportunity or inclination to see Dark
Star on a stage, you must grasp at it like it was the last band
you could ever see. It might just be - and you shouldn't check
out without them.
