Dark Star go Dancing
Lawrence and Bic from Dark Star came in to Radio 1 on Friday morning. They’re probably the busiest guys in music at the moment. They've done 100 gigs this year, put out a debut album ‘twenty twenty sound’ and are still finding time to work on album number two. Their next will be dancier than the first one and they’re working with Choq from Black Star Liner. Dark Star have just finished touring with the Longpigs who they say are the nicest pop stars they know! But they say the single, ‘Graceadelica’, is a remix, and nothing like the album session.
"I wouldn’t say that was a one off but it was a remix so it’s obviously not like the album. But we have our own version of that song which is on the album. Remixing is something we’re quite interested in so we might be doing more of that", they say. "That album’s a lot more live, it’s like our live shows. I mean it was an album that we recorded last year and it was basically done live so it’s very much a live album with different takes stuck together. The next album’s going to be very different though", they told Radio 1.
